2013 Room 7 @ St Francis Xavier School: Matariki Lanterns

We will be showing off our Matariki Lanterns and Fun Family Times stories at tomorrow's school assembly.

Reminders

Pasifika Club: Thursday lunchtimes. Bring your lunch and share in fun activities led by Mrs Parr and Miss Wooles. Check out the Pasifia theme mural we're painting on the court wall!
School Library: Mondays. We borrow 2 books each week, bring one of these home to read each evening as part of our Home Learning routine. The other book is kept at school. Both books need to be at school each Monday.
Regular Exercise: Our daily exercise routine requires our sports shoes and clean socks to be kept in a bag on our coat hook.
Drink Bottle: We keep fresh water in our drink bottle, on our desk. We use this to keep hydrated throughout the day.
Home Learning: Achieving the Strength and Gentleness challenge means forming good work habits from the beginning of the year. By focusing on just 3 challenges each term we will easily achieve the Year 4 goal of 10 challenges!
Daily Literacy and Numeracy: Regular practice of reading and maths skills will keep these really sharp so we set aside some time for this when we're at home. Our families can support our progress by reading with us, playing games and quizzes. It's always much more fun to DO IT TOGETHER!!!
